I'm so glad you stopped by my blog! This is Birdie's blog - a blog about my simple, cozy life with my dreamy husband and fat cat Frisk. More specifically, it's a place where I can write about my experiences with recurrent miscarriage. I hope you'll enjoying reading! And if you're experiencing anything like what I'm going through I pray you'll find HOPE! While I do have my moments when I cry and feel discouraged, my hope is in Jesus Christ, and He always picks me up and never lets me go!! Thank You, Lord!

And now I can finally add that after 4 miscarriages and 3 surgeries, our baby was born in November, 2011!!! Thank You, Jesus!!!

2007

August - Jay & Birdie were married

October - Trying for Baby

2008

March - Miscarriage #1

September - Miscarriage #2

2009

October - Miscarriage #3 (at approx. 7 weeks after hearing Baby's heartbeat)

October - D&C

December - Recurrent miscarriage workup began...Lots of blood work, tests, Dr. visits. So far everything normal.

2010

January - Saw high-risk pregnancy specialist. More labs.

February - Saw fertility specialist. HSG planned. Possible mild clotting disorder.

March - Attended foster/adoption classes.

April - HSG - Normal!...Trying for Baby again after 6 month wait! Took 50 mg Clomid & started 1 baby Aspirin a day

May 1 - Positive Pregnancy Test!!

PRAYING for our miracle baby!!!!!

May 14 - 1st ultrasound. No baby or sac seen. Possible ectopic??

May 18 - Follow up ultrasound. Sac AND baby seen w/heartbeat!!!! Possible cornual ectopic????!

May 20 - Follow up ultrasound with RE. HEARD heartbeat!!! Doesn't think it's a cornual ectopic!!! Praise the Lord!!! Praying for this miracle baby!!!

May 24 - Bleeding

May 25 - Miscarriage #4 No heart beat. Our baby is with Jesus

May 28 - D&C and Laporacopic surgery. Cyst & some endometriosis removed. No cornual ectopic.

June - Healing, Resting, and leaning on Jesus!!

July - Saw RPL Specialis t in Memphis. Possible septum.

August 19 - Septum removed

September - We are foster parents to a VERY special little boy - Big Guy (2 years old)!!!

November - We foster Baby Girl (3 months old) for one week. Big Guy is still with us!

December - We foster Little Guy (newborn baby) which we are told may lead to adoption. Big Guy is still with us!

Back on the TTC Wagon!

2011

March 5 - Big Guy returns to his family. Our hearts feel broken, but we know it is best. Little Guy is still with us!

March 6 - Positive Pregnancy Test

March 9 - HCG = 95.6, progesterone = 43.8

March 11 - HCG = 252.1

March 21 - Small amount of bleeding, HCG = 14,000

March 23 - HCG = 20,184

March 28 - Saw baby & heart beat via ultrasound!! Looks great!!

July - It's a GIRL!!

July 15 - Little Guy left us to go live with his family member. Leaning on Jesus as we miss him terribly. Feeling like our hearts are breaking but so thankful he went to a good home.

August - November - Good Dr. visits. Baby Girl is doing well! She is our miracle baby.

November - Our miracle is HERE! Thank You, LORD!!!

2012

November 27 - Positive pregnancy test ... Surprised & hopeful

December - Spotting

December 21 - First ultrasound. Measuring 6w4d. Expected to measure about 8 weeks. Saw heart beating. 92 beats per minute. Mass seen beside baby. Possible molar pregnancy along with baby or vanishing twin. Spent whole next week praying and battling anxiety and fear. Jesus never left me alone.

December 28 - 2nd ultrasound. No heartbeat. Measures about the same as last week. Our baby is with Jesus. Mass is gone. No molar pregnancy. Plans to go back to specialist in Memphis then have D&C. Will be 3rd D&C. 5th miscarriage.

2013

January - D&C. The staff were so kind, but I was very tearful afterwards. It didn't help that when I checked in at the front desk in the main lobby, they asked if I'd received my OB packet in the mail. Feeling like I just want to be normal again and enjoy my baby girl without TTC for at least a year.

April 3 - Positive Pregnancy Test

April 23 - First appt. Measuring 7weeks. Heart Rate - 135. All looks normal!!! Due Dec. 8th.

April 30 - 2nd appt. Heart Rate - 170. Everything normal!! Got fluids for dehydration.

May 14 - Heart rate via Doppler - 182. Everything normal!

I am LOVING being a mom to this sweet baby!! I have found my calling through foster care - to be a mom! :)
